Description

This Flash file is a virtual keyboard with the notes for the keys labeled. Users can click on the keys to hear each note play. Flash Player 7 or higher is required.

Instructions for Posting on a Web Page

  1. Open the Index File with the Animation in any browser such as Firefox or Internet Explorer, go to the View menu then View Source.
  2. Copy the HTML tags beginning with <object> and stopping at </object>.
  3. Paste this code into any HTML Web page file where you want to display this animation.
  4. Post the Web page and all the Flash (.swf) files are in the same directory.
  5. The web page should display the animation.

Instructions for Posting in the ANGEL Managment System

These instructions are written for the ANGEL Course Management System used at Penn State. For other systems like WebCT or Blackboard, please refer to their documentation for instructions on uploading multiple files.

  1. Log in to the course management system and navigate to the tool for uploading files into your course.
  2. Go to the Lessons tab, then click Add Content in the toolbar.
  3. Select Add a File, then upload "ANGEL.zip."
  4. Click the Extract button to expand the contents of the file.
  5. Select "index.html" as the default page.
  6. Students who click on the link for that file should see the animation.
  7. If you see a message to download a .zip file, you need to re-upload the file and click Extract.

Modifying the Animation

Open keyboardMTO.fla in Flash MX 2004. You must purchase Flash from Macromedia in order to modify the file.
